Ethical diamonds are extracted and marketed in a manner guaranteeing full respect for human rights, the dignity of human beings and the environment.
Certified ethical diamonds
Calderoni complies with the ethical principles of the Kimberley Process and ensures that the whole production chain involving its diamonds - from mining onwards - is controlled and certified. Moreover, the company selects its suppliers carefully, requiring them to certify the origin of diamonds throughout the entire process.
Ethical diamonds and more generally ethical jewels, are those precious stones and metals, which are extracted and marketed with certain characteristics that guarantee full respect for human rights, human dignity and the environment.
CERTIFIED AND ETHICAL DIAMONDS
Calderoni adheres to the ethical principles of the Process and ensures that the entire production chain of diamonds on sale, since the extraction of precious stones, is controlled and certified. The company strictly selects its suppliers, checking that sector operators certify the origin of diamonds during all the processes.

KIMBERLEY PROCESS
The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS or KP) is an international protocol, underpinned by the United Nations and by the signatory governments of the countries, binding members-including Calderoni-to a series of transparency requirements and strict controls on origin, to prevent placing illegal or uncertified precious stones on the market. The Kimberley Process is reinforced by a United Nations mandate; diamonds exported must be accompanied by a certificate attesting compliance with the Kimberley Process and authenticated by governmental authorities.
